A few weeks ago I said goodbye to my pink bow wallpaper in my bedroom and hello to a brand new design, color pallet, and layout. Since then, I’ve been collecting DIY ideas, doing crafts, and looking for pieces to finish decorating my new room. I will write a separate post with before and after photos later.
Part of my room redo included repainting my childhood bookshelf that my grandfather gave me when I was very little. He built it for my aunt (during which time it was pink) and then when it was given to me it was a cream color that sat in the corner of every room I’ve ever had.
Repurposing it to fit my new color scheme and (more) mature age was a nice reminder of how much work my Grandad put into making it, and I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
